We are a New-York based industry leading apparel firm driving trends in women’s swimwear design and elevating the market. Comprised of several proprietary and private label brands that we design, manufacture, and distribute from the ground up, tracking ideas from concept to commerce with absolute passion for our product.

About You:

The 3D Designer will be a key member of our private label brand’s design team process, responsible for creating high-quality, photorealistic models of garments in CLO3D. Able to use flat sketches provided by the design team, along with patterns and specs provided by the technical design team, they will build and render physically accurate and aesthetically appealing 3D designs. The 3D Designer will work between cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment and must have excellent communication and individual project management skills. They will be experts in leveraging a variety of creative software to produce deliverables in alignment with the vision of the senior designer as well as brand-specific standards and expressions of fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate 2D CADs into 3D models using CLO3D
  • Organize and deliver 3D assets to design team on tight deadlines ahead of client presentations
  • Be in constant communication with tech and design teams, receiving feedback and revising 3D models to reflect design intent and refine visual appeal
  • Utilize and build upon current library of 3D silhouettes and blocks to support product development process
  • Liaise with tech design & patternmaker to draft and modify patterns as necessary to achieve desired fit and accurate garment drape
  • Maintain digital catalog of fabrics, trims, and hardware – creating OBJs, fabric maps, textures, and artwork as necessary


  • Bachelor’s degree (in apparel development/fashion design strongly preferred; design/art, 3D art or game design a secondary preference)
  • 3+ years’ experience working in the apparel industry, with understandings of key processes, workflow, and industry standards being critical to success in this role
  • High degree of proficiency in CLO3D (preferred)ORexpert proficiency in another 3D garment-modeling software (i.e. Optitex, Browzwear, Gerber) with willingness to learn and master CLO3D
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator) and ability to translate digital assets seamlessly between different software platforms
  • Ability to understand, meet and exceed client’s standards; learn client’s PLM system; meet client’s calendar deadlines; and go through client’s 3D apparel artist accreditation program
  • Attendance at client’s periodic 3D training workshops and webinars to improve upon existing personal skillset; desire to improve knowledge base and self-teach when necessary
  • High degree of aesthetic standards, attention to detail, organization, proactivity, and self-sufficiency
  • Collaborative spirit and desire to participate in the design process, always looking for ways to innovate and bringing new ideas to the table
  • Skilled in swimwear, intimates or activewear and fit knowledge is a bonus!
