Account Coordinator
Public Relations and Marketing firm Chapter 2 is seeking a full-time Account Coordinator for the company’s New York based Fashion Division, handling multiple fashion accounts. This role interacts closely with clients/designers and top-tier media and stylists.
The ideal candidate has 1-2 years experience in a public relations capacity either in-house with a top brand or a leading agency with intimate knowledge of designer fashion, current culture, creative partnerships, and media.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Assist account leads with pitch development, release drafting, and presentation creation, as well as creation and organization of client PR assets, EPKs, and press clippings
- Thorough research and fact checking assistance for client and press needs
- Continual research and updating on current event calendars, media lists, and industry contacts
- Assist account lead in coordinating VIP gifting, product seeding, and collection pulls; manage sample trafficking of incoming and outgoing shipments, loans, and gifting
- Manage day to day media monitoring for client press coverage
- Work with team to research and develop materials, briefings, on-site support, and assist with events
- Compile weekly and monthly PR Reports for clients
- Assist with general company-wide and office administrative responsibilities shared with colleagues
ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM DUTIES:

- Make monthly and weekly templates to complete client reports; double check all report before sending to supervisor to then be signed off by Account Leads
- Perform daily press/VIP sweeps for all clients and add all coverage into appropriate channels
- Work with Account Coordinators and support staff to ensure timely and correctly clipped coverage and client asset delivery
- Continual research and updating on current event calendars, media lists, and industry contacts
- Work with team to research and develop materials, briefings, on-site support, and assist with events
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience working with an agency in a Public Relations capacity
- Experience with event management + check-in and/or Fashion Week experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills, ability to multitask, intelligent – this role requires managing many different areas of PR simultaneously
- Fundamental knowledge and understanding of the fashion industry
- Desire to learn and further develop an appreciation for the fashion industry and creative communities
- Team player with great communication skills; able to work with others as well as independently; strong interpersonal and analytical skills; attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage time effectively
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox, Google programs, MuckRack, social media platforms, Fashion GPS and/or Mayvein.
