Your role as Allocator will be pivotal in supporting the success of our Merchandise team in Womenswear at David Jones. Providing support to our Merchandise team you will be responsible for managing the allocation of stock into our stores and providing insight into stock performance. We are looking for someone who has an analytical mindset, is highly organised and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment.

With a hybrid mix of working at home as well as our Burnley office, this role will suit an individual who enjoys reading, interpreting, and analysing sales data looking to grow their career within merchandise.

Job description

• Manage the allocation of stock to David Jones stores
• Monitor product performance and provide recommendations on the reallocation of underperforming stock
• Collaborate with the Merchandise Planner's to ensure that capacity/space planning is factored into all key decisions
• Communicate with stores to ensure they are notified of allocation decisions impacting their stores
• Conduct weekly and quarterly reporting

What are we looking for?

• Experience in a similar Allocator role for a large retailer
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel including V-lookups
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• A self-starter who loves collaborating with others but can also work autonomously
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
