Job description

Overview

To manage inventory at the store level in order to maximize sales to achieve financial objectives for the division.

Responsibilities

    Allocation

    • Allocate merchandise for one or more classes
    • Maintain sales and inventory plans by class/attribute/store using MID system
    • Identify and action stores with need based on WOS and #Skus
    • Execute the release of initial PO’s maintaining appropriate inventory levels by store based on sales trend and forecast
    • Pre-allocate 1-2 weeks in advance of NDC (varies)
    • Replenish into stores at least once/week through DC’s and FC’s
    • Daily DNR Check
    Analysis

    • Provide store analysis/insight/opportunities based on $ and ST%
    • Location performance reporting: Week/Month/Season using Store Metrics Recap, Style Recap, and Regional/Cluster Attribute reports

      • Store drivers: Attributes/Inventory/KPI’s
      • In Stock% in key items
      • Store Tests/New Shops
      • Hindsight store performance to inform store plans and allocation/buying opportunities
      • Size Performance
    Support Stores/Buying/Planning

    • Lead meetings to align with buying on store execution/strategy
    • Collaborate with buying/mngr on select store strategies/tests
    • Ensure timely and accurate execution of New Store Openings
    • Participate in meetings with input on buy qty/tier/shop distribution strategies based on hindsight/trend
    • Provide Grading and Min/Max qty by Cluster and Tier for Planning and Buying
    • Provide store analysis/insight/opportunities based on $ and ST%
    • Share best practices to ensure consistency + develop systems knowledge
    • Visit stores (in person & virtual) on a regular basis to understand site specific opportunities
    • Update Assortment Flow by Grade daily
    • Manage a Long Range Project
    Job Skills

    • Expert command of retail math concepts and applications
    • Strong statistical analysis skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Excellent organizational, prioritizing and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work well within a team environment
    Education

    Bachelor's in Finance or Business related degree preferred
