OverviewThe Print Associate Designer will contribute to the creation, development, and execution of own brand print artworks appropriate for the Anthropologie customer.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Designer & Senior Designer to identify emerging print trends and contribute to seasonal print direction
- Place print artworks into industry standard repeat layouts utilizing Abode Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Design original artworks relative to the seasonal concepts
- Manage the preparation and organization of weekly development packages to be sent to the vendors
- Create CAD colorways for print artworks according to the seasonal color palette
- Execute engineered prints and placements in garment sketches or patterns for developments
- Contribute to sourcing vintage and studio artworks appropriate to the concept
- Develop and train Design Assistants/Assistant Designers
- Attend benchmark meetings as requested
- Perform special tasks as needed
- Extensive knowledge of print design and technical textiles and their application into apparel end-use
- Well organized and possess excellent time management skills
- Highly creative and self motivated with the ability to multitask and work independently in a fast paced environment
- Strong passion for apparel and textile design with the ability to recognize and translate trend direction into brand appropriate product
- Energetic team player with sound communication skills to effectively collaborate with partners in Design, Buying, PD, and Production
- Strong hand-painting and drawing skills to create original designs
- Proficient computer skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Must have 3-4 years experience in Textile Design or related field
Bachelor’s Degree in Print / Textile Design
