Apparel Technical Designer
Good Good Golf is looking for an experienced Apparel Technical Designer, to work closely with our Creative Director and Product Manager. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, extremely organized, and possess an exceptional level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for silhouette development and fit execution of men’s and women’s golf product while ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met according to the development calendar.
Collaborate with Creative Director and Product Manager to bring unique products and concepts from ideas to reality.
Main point of contact for all fit related development communication with overseas factories and partners from concept to bulk production.
Build technical drawings and tech packs for initial development to final production for each sku including measurement specs, construction details and fit/grading.
Request and track fit samples (including PP & TOPs) for comments and communicate timing and status to team and monitor timings against calendar.
Evaluate garments to determine tech pack was followed including compliance of specs, construction and fit intent.
Provide complete and articulate fit comments (including any needed points of measures, sketches and/or photos) to overseas partners in a timely manner to meet production schedule.
Assist and consult with factory pattern makers to develop new blocks and apply established grade rules to approved styles.
Review bulk production for accuracy and confirm measurements fall within spec tolerances.
Compile report including comments with detailed photos to the factory within 2 weeks of bulk delivery.
Conduct fit sessions with professional models to assess fit of the garments. Will need to travel to Frisco office for sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 8 years of professional technical design experience.
Bachelor's degree in fashion design or related field.
Must have knowledge in pattern making, various fabrications, and garment construction.
Highly proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, tech sketching and Excel.
Exceptionally organized with strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills and deadline driven with a track record of meeting multiple overlapping deadlines and delivering great results on time.
Energetic, highly motivated with an enthusiastic attitude, able to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Outstanding open communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be available for the occasional after hours call with overseas factories.
