Job Description

The Assistant Buyer role is the first level within the Merchandising Group and provides administrative and organizational support to the Buyer and Associate Buyer.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:POINTER-MARK Monitor Open Order report weekly, execute ASAP POs to fulfill orders as quickly as possible and update ETA’s to ensure the order book is as accurate as possiblePOINTER-MARK Provide quick feedback to Customer Service (GearHead Team) regarding the status of inventory requestsPOINTER-MARK Work with vendors, managers, receivers and planners to resolve receiving issuesPOINTER-MARK Monitor the site map to ensure coherent layout of product groups, sub categories, pricing, etc.POINTER-MARK Provide feedback to the Content Team on priorities and updates in images and copyPOINTER-MARK Parse vendor SKU data for SKU creation and gathers vendor assets for PDPsPOINTER-MARK Organize Vendor SKU data for all Bike Components and Bikes/Frames to prepare SKU building with data team seasonallyPOINTER-MARK Keeping product changes top of mind and transitioning SKUs accordinglyPOINTER-MARK Coordinate with Marketing to ensure merchandise is tied into promos and salesPOINTER-MARK Creates reporting for Buyer and Associate Buyer as neededPOINTER-MARK Provide analytical feedback to Merchandise Team and Planners regarding product trends and popularityPOINTER-MARK Execute edits for the Merch Group as directedQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:POINTER-MARK 2-3 years of office experience, preferably in a retail, catalog, or internet environmentPOINTER-MARK Buying or inventory analyst experience preferredPOINTER-MARK Proficient in Microsoft Office (proficiency in Excel a must)POINTER-MARK Excellent organizational skillsPOINTER-MARK Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPOINTER-MARK Demonstrated analytical skillsPOINTER-MARK Ability to perform under pressure, prioritizes competing tasks, and schedule time wiselyABOUT BACKCOUNTRY PAGE-BREAKPAGE-BREAKOur mission is to connect people to their passions.
