Job Overview:

Elite Sportswear, LP is currently searching for anAssistant Buyer,a newly created role to work closely supporting our Product Line Management team

We seek an Assistant Buyer to support the daily operations of purchasing fashionable athletic gymnastics, swim, and cheerleading merchandise. In this role, you will review and track inventory, monitor purchase orders and expected receipt dates, assist with new product development, and provide overall support to the Product Line Manager (PLM) as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a monitoring system for purchase orders from creation through receipt and communicate any date changes to internal stakeholders
  • Organize and communicate purchase order details for the product line manager so that they can be clearly communicated to external partner
  • Coordinate with product line managers on new product set up.
  • Compile post-season sales recaps, assist in analysis and reporting as needed
  • Complete product research, pricing analysis, and monitoring the competitive landscape.
  • Administrative duties for Product Team as necessary
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain or Business strongly preferred. We will consider candidates with a combination of relevant work experience. Interns also welcome to apply!
  • One to three years of product or apparel experience
  • Requires strong product knowledge, problem solving and presentation skills
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Office, Excel, and Power-point
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence teams across all business units
