We are seeking a versatile and high-performing Assistant Buyer to provide operational and buying support. You are eager to grow your career in the fashion space and possess a customer-focused mindset. This position requires developing strong relationships with key vendors and the internal corporate and warehouse team. In this role, you will identify market trends, gain knowledge of the competitive landscape, and use data-driven analysis to provide business driving recommendations.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be a self-starter with a team-player attitude, have a sense of urgency, and strong attention to detail. They will be career-oriented with a strong desire to take on increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support including sample management, purchase order management, invoice management, system product creation, site content upload, and photoshoot coordination
  • Assist with receipt tracking, inventory flow through the warehouse, and all QC issues/RTV’s
  • Maintain vendor relationships by responding quickly and accurately
  • Actively monitor sales and site daily
  • Create and analyze selling reports
  • Assist in preparing for all vendor meetings
  • Attend trade shows and appointments as necessary

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 1-3 years of experience in buying, planning, or merchandising within the apparel industry
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite with ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner both
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Results and deadline-oriented with a strong sense of follow through
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
