The Assistant Buyer supports the buyer in selecting products and executing seasonal buying strategies to achieve sales and gross margin goals. Responsibilities include gathering data, maintaining reporting, and preparing documents. This position works closely with vendors to ensure the correct quantity, pricing, delivery, and receiving of product. This position collaborates with many departments to provide product information and support
1 to 3 years’ retail experience that includes seasonal category buying is preferred. This position has a career path to becoming a Buyer in the E-Commerce/ Apparel Industry.
Candidates must be organized, detail oriented and have strong interpersonal/communication skills.
Ability to build strong business partnerships both internally and externally. Demonstrate the adaptability and flexibility as business strategies change.
Excellent critical thinking, decision making, analytical and negotiation skills.
Strong sense of style and ability to carry out a strategic vision.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Bachelors in Marketing, E-commerce, Business, Fashion Merchandising or related field.
