Exiting position working with international contemporary brands assisting the Head of Buying to select the most beautiful product from all around the world to our CLIC stores.


Assist the buyer to maintain awareness of all fashion and market trends and new brands or designers and review them as potential suppliers.

Assist the Buyer to capture all relevant product information and attend key appointments when required.

Perform operational functions supporting Buyer to achieve sales, margin, inventory, and seasonal markdown plans

Assist in establishing pricing strategy considering exchange rates, suggested mark ups, and industry trends.

Ensure authorized orders are placed in a timely manner with supplier.

Work as a key point of contact for all suppliers for own department.

Authorizing release of deliveries with vendors and inform stores of planned deliveries.

Liaise with Accounting Department regarding supplier payment terms.

Maintain buying spreadsheets in Excel with order information.

Review the shipping status of all orders with Buyer and effectively assist vendors in shipping needs including release from Customs.

Monitor current stock and propose repeat orders where appropriate

Organize and administer stock swaps.


Results oriented with a high degree of resilience and perseverance.

Strong logistics skills are required; will manage product flow from vendor to stores and warehouse.

Ability to maintain focus on goals and objectives that deliver results.

Must be able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

Operate independently as well as collaborate with cross functional teams within organization.

Learning agility to acquire/apply new practices in a constantly changing environment.

Strong analytical skills and ability to run and review reports.

Understand sense of urgency to resolve issues.

Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.

Exhibits optimism and enthusiasm.


Bachelor’s degree required.

2-3 years of fashion retail merchandising or buying experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Proficiency in MS Office applications (emphasis on Excel) and experience with POS systems.


Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
