Assistant Buyer - Tobacco (Temp to Perm)

The Tobacco Analyst is responsible for completing analytical and operational requests by Category Managers and Director. They will provide practical analyses and reports to help make informed decisions with the Tobacco Team. Results must be highly polished and suitable for internal and external presentation.

• Provide weekly reporting packages including Cigarette and OTP Category updates, new item growth synopsis, 1st Class reporting, Cigarette competitor pricing analysis, promotion analysis
• Provide weekly analysis on the Loyalty Alt ID transition and Scan Cards identifying areas of opportunity for operations
• Provide monthly support for PSO analysis and suggestions for change
• Identify areas of opportunity using IRI data 5. Lead and manage operational analyses in the areas of cigarettes, other tobacco products, and other areas of the business as needed

Working Relationships: Accounts Payable Department, Accounts Receivable Department, Warehouse Personnel, Manufacturers, Suppliers, Sales Representative, and Brokers.

Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus

: Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office Programs Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) software, PDI, Smartsheets Preferred Experience: Knowledge of inter-company functions, able to manage large Data Bases (1700+stores), communication skill Both internal and external at all levels
