Victoria’s Secret Beauty is looking for an Assistant Designer who will be responsible for supporting the creation of commercially viable product designs for the Accessories business. This person will coordinate and deliver brand-right designs that tie back to the overall concept, aesthetic and business strategy; encompassing style, color/print, fit and fabric for new/existing product lines. The ideal candidate has a solid working knowledge of fashion trends and consumer needs to product designs.


  • Assist in the creation of brand-right, commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction and business strategy
  • Develop seasonal product with a focus on style, aesthetic, functionality and fabric
  • Deliver design sketches/prototypes and provide specifications; adapt designs based on feedback, incorporating for finalization
  • Apply processes to understand/anticipate the needs of the customer in order to exceed customer expectations and readily react to their needs
  • Collaborate and follow-up on deliverables with vendors and key partners throughout the design process including Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development
  • Create and recolor print and pattern, including use of photoshop to create repeats, high res print files, recolors and breaking out into layers for vendor execution
  • Color match and chip out prints for vendor pass off
  • Create detailed 1 to 1 scale Design Tech packs that clearly articulate size, shape and construction to the vendors using full scale drawings, multi view and detailed sketches of construction
  • Create and design new hardware and bag charms concepts; articulate through detailed drawings and 3 Dimensional views to show size, construction and functional components
  • Create and maintain digital archive of samples
  • Prepare materials for meetings and presentations as well as coordinate meeting logistics
  • Stay up to date on trends/competitor research; brainstorm and present innovative, new ideas to the team
  • Achieve set goals with acute attention-to-detail, tracking progress and anticipating potential issues
  • Pursue and embrace opportunities to personally grow and develop skills/competencies
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key partners
  • Identify and implement Design process efficiencies
  • Meet budget and time commitments without compromising design excellence



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design or a related field
  • 1-2 years of design experience in a highly creative/innovative environment
  • Exceptional talent with a commercial fashion eye and detail in product styling/performance
  • Knowledge and interest in current trends in design and fashion
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills; flexible and creative problem solver
  • Champion for change and able to react with speed and agility
  • Highly motivated, passionate and results oriented
  • Collaborative partner with a team-oriented approach
  • Personal professionalism and accountability
  • Computer experience in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Illustration skills and/or hand sketching and 3D rendering skills a plus
