You thrive in a rapidly changing environment, are curious and have the vision to help build and develop the brand.  You have a great eye for detail, exude a strong fashion sense, and are extremely industry savvy. What You’ll Do: Understand the Michael Kors aesthetic and translate it into seasonal products Seasonal research including trend & market research and presentation board creation Sketching and CAD work, both by hand and in Photoshop + Illustrator Understanding of technical aspects of shoe construction  Knowledge of materials and fabric Technical specs for layer-ups and embellishments Creating CADs for presentations with internal partners Create Technical Packages for factories and development teams Partners with handbag designers to achieve consistency in product Involved in proto fitting and be able to communicate design comments to cross functional teams Understanding trends and mass market analysis for the price-conscious consumer You’ll Need to Have: 0-2 years of related experience with excellent technical knowledge Bachelor’s Degree in design or related field Computer savvy with advanced skillset in Adobe Suite Design and conceptual skills for footwear Skills to multitask and manage competing calendar deadlines Supporting Designer and Design Director for our Outlet & Cut-up Divisions Team oriented mindset, ability work in a fast-paced environment with a “no task too big or too small” mentality Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills Ability to work in NYC office 3-5 days a week We’d Love to See: Excellent sense of style and color In-depth knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color ways, construction techniques, leather, and trim MK Perks: Generous Paid Time Off and Holiday Schedule Summer Fridays Internal mobility across Capri Brands (Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Versace) Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo and Versace Discounts Exclusive Employee Sales Fav 5 Cards (MK Discount for friends and family) 401k Match Paid Parental Leave Thrive Wellness Program (seasonal in-office massages and more!)
