The Assistant Designer is responsible for assisting the design/buying team with trend right and age appropriate graphics, artwork, sketches, and production art. Daily responsibilities include working with multiple design teams with print/graphic needs, colorations, exiting production artwork.

Responsibilities

Work with associate designers and design managers to create original/proprietary artwork for their product
Prepare tech packs and line sheets in a timely fashion and distribute them weekly to the entire company
Create print and pattern/surface design for various products such as handbags, SLGs, fashion accessories, tech accessories, room décor, home goods, bridal, baby, cosmetics, tech, and events
Organizing samples, approvals, and print library (physical and digital)
Communicate with sourcing offices and vendors about approvals, changes, and execution of product
Meet all calendar deadlines
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Design required, from art university in illustration/art/graphics preferred
Knowledge/skills in Adobe Suites: Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign
Artistic ability a plus: hand sketching, painting, artistic hand and eye
An elevated sense of style and taste in fashion and room décor
Strong organizational skills and ability to follow up on tasks
Able to work in a team environment: Multiple design and buying teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
