THE ROLE

This Candidate Will Be Working Within The Marketing Department On a Range Of Graphic Design Projects That Include

Sotheby’s is looking for an accomplished Integrated Designer to work with our in-house Design Studio.

  • Integrated marketing collateral
  • Exhibition design; elevations and branded production elements
  • Business-getting proposal support

This is an excellent opportunity for a multidisciplinary designer. This candidate is ideally from a museum or design studio background, with broad exposure to cutting edge and/or luxury brands. Design degree (or equivalent qualification), total fluency in Mac-based design as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility and the ability to work on multiple projects at once is a must

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and production of marketing collateral, exhibition design, proposals, while working within Sotheby’s brand guidelines
  • Support Art Directors and designers with research, concepts, mock-ups & presentation
  • Collaborate with Design/Marketing teams and internal clients on projects
  • Seeing projects through from initial brief to completion
  • Perform well within tight deadlines and budgets
  • Maintain the archive and record of work through Workfront project management tool

Ideal Experience & Competencies

  • Design degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Portfolio of past work
  • Excellent layout/composition, typographical and aesthetic coherence
  • Knowledge of production processes
  • Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; CAD and/or Sketch-up a plus
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects/deadlines at once
  • Positive work ethic, reliable, adapts quickly and easily
