Avanti is a Women's Clothing and Shoe Boutique in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo. Our store is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager and Merchandiser to help oversee our sales floor and assist with general merchandising. As a Manager, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Store Manager and Owner, and help manage and train Sales Associates. This role is expected to perform daily store opening and closing operations, help maximize sales by delivering an exceptional in-store experience, and create long-term, quality relationships with our amazing customers.
-Provide excellent customer service to every patron of the store, from greeting through post-sale contact
-Build effective relationships with customers, associates, peers and upper management to support a high performing team
-Assist with general merchandising / floor moves / dressing mannequins / styling windows and displays in store
-Provide a clean, consistent and inviting store environment that inspires customers to shop and return again and again
-Perform all register functions, including by not limited to: opening and closing register, sales receipts, processing returns, etc.
-Assume responsibility of all store operations when the Store Manager and/or Owner is out of the store, acting as Manager on Duty
-Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of holidays and weekends
-2+ years' of retail experience
-Strong verbal communication skills
-Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, while being committed to creating an amazing customer experience
-Retail and fashion are always changing, so flexibility and ability to adapt to any situation, challenges, and being fashion focused are pillars to your success
-Social media experience preferred
-Marketing experience preferred
