Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Manager of Visual Merchandising at Gap in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Assistant Manager of Visual Merchandising will be responsible for managing window displays, overseeing store layout and presentation, and collaborating with the team to create visually appealing merchandising strategies. This role will also involve managing a team of visual merchandisers and collaborating with store operations and talent management.


  • Strong communication and sales skills
  • Experience in creating eye-catching window displays, executing VPG, and Floor Mapping with high detail in planning
  • Ability to manage and lead a team (minimum 7 years of visual management experience with team of 10 or more)
  • Managed volume of $8M plus in yearly sales revenue
  • Experience as a store manager is a plus
  • Strong LOD prescence; sales and loyalty driven
  • Confidence and experience leading corporate and HQ walk throughs
  • Proven track record of recuritment, training and development
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising principles and techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends
