Assistant Merchandise Planner

will support and assist the Senior Merchandise Planner and the rest of the Operations team in gathering necessary data and analysis to create efficient inventory plans. This role is highly collaborative and will work closely with the Senior Merchandise Planner to analyze in-season and historical data that will help provide important and necessary insights for future planning.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, manage, and maintain split inventories between Wholesale & E-Commerce channels
  • Track unfinished fabric and raw material (greige) orders placed with suppliers, and manage excess greige inventory levels season-over-season
  • Maintain Time and Action (T&A) calendars received from external partners, and update all internal calendars to ensure alignment on most recent timelines/deadlines
  • Partner with Product / Sourcing & suppliers to keep track of updated factory minimums –both greige and finished goods
  • Coordinate with Operations team & suppliers on any PO change requests (pricing, quantities, etc.)
  • Plan and manage inventory for Hats, Graphic Apparel, and Accessories product offerings
  • Monitor End-of-life Product and discontinued stock
  • Assist in managing inventory reduction strategies
  • Manage inventory thresholds to optimize sales in preferred channels
  • Update weekly reports and distribute to internal teams
  • Oversee WIP reports received from external partners and update internal systems accordingly
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • Maintain Product info in system of record and analyze how proposed changes may impact on hand inventory
  • Maintain Product Tiers/Ranks to assist with Planning/Buying and Product Lifecyle
  • Track inventory levels and storage capacity at 3PL warehouse
  • Manage inventory for Production Supplies (i.e. boxes, inserts, mailers, etc.) and work with Design team to implement any seasonal changes
  • Analyze size curves each season to provide insights on how to plan for future buys

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Finance or related field
  • One to three years of related experience
  • Prior experience in apparel or a related field preferred
