Assistant Merchandiser

Essential Job Functions
Supports Merchandisers in the development process from early concepts through introduction to market.Assists in the line building and merchandising of assigned product category(s).
Creates merchandising presentations for Sales and Licensors.
Facilitates the internal communications between Design team and Sales team.
Communicates frequently with overseas factories on new sample requests, pricing, and follow up to ensure timely delivery according to the development calendar.
Maintains the Product Lifestyle Management (PLM) database with up to date information.
Assists Merchandisers and Designers in creating and setting up product showrooms.
Completes all the tasks as assigned by the merchandise manager as per the deadlines.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Education/License Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Fashion Merchandising or equivalent degree/experienceGeneral Experience Requirements
Required: 0 – 2 years of experience in merchandising of consumer products, design, or product development; can include internshipsSkills, Knowledge, Abilities (e.g. Software Proficiency, Language, Project Management)
Basic computer skillsComputer literate; working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
Adobe Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop a plus
Working Conditions/Physical Demands (e.g. Lifting 50 Lbs, Travel Requirements)
Potential travel involved (less than 10%)Must able to receive, lift, open and unpack boxes containing product samples
