Launched in December of 2018, CAMP operates nine retail locations in New York, Texas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, California, and New Jersey, and serves families everywhere via its digital platforms.

CAMP will open stores in other major markets in the coming months.

What is the Role?

We are looking for an Assistant Visual Merchandiser. This role will directly report to Visual Merchandising Manager (VMM). You will be responsible for supporting the creation and maintenance of displays that capture the CAMP aesthetic and keeping all of CAMP's diverse customers and families engaged. You will work closely with the merchandising team to help coordinate visual floor sets and to ensure we bring the stories of our brands and products to life. You will be working closely with the store teams to identify and address daily store visual needs.

What will you do at CAMP?

  • Working with the VMM to identify and address day to day store merchandise and display needs.
  • Collaborating and communicating with cross functional teams such as: Merchandising, Allocations, Supply Chain, Creative team etc, within CAMP to execute certain projects/merchandising needs
  • Briefing staff on stock levels, display and rotation to ensure every space is optimized
  • Understanding merchandising trends and industry best practices
  • Organizing and facilitating CAMP Experiences aka theme flips
  • Facilitating merchandising of calendar holidays, events and specific store theme sets across all channels
  • Assisting VMM and store teams to open new CAMP locations and experiences for all stores including those out of state
  • Holding all store teams accountable for maintaining store standards, specifically pertaining to merchandising and display
  • Traveling to stores on a daily basis to support visual merchandising needs and facilitating trainings
  • Creating displays that drive financial targets and goals.

What will you bring to CAMP?

  • Minimum of 2+ years work experience in a Visual Merchandising role that targets diverse markets and customers
  • Experience working in retail, specifically in some capacity of a visual merchandising role at a high level
  • Creative vision and ideas that strengthen the brand identity
  • Passion to deliver memorable experiences to customers
  • Desire to be part of a tight-knit team looking to transform the traditional retail experience
  • Hold yourself and your employees/team to high standards
  • Not afraid to jump in where needed - no task is too big or too small for you and you are willing to throw down and help your team before you are asked
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understand retail business acumen
  • Understand microsoft excel and powerpoint/ google sheets and slides
  • Start-up experience is a bonus but not a requirement
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States
  • Experience working in retail, specifically in some capacity of a visual merchandising role at a high level
