ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a great opportunity to join a growing, global organization. The Associate Buyer is responsible for managing product assortment for a specific classification including initial buys, reorders, and markdowns. They will work closely within the team, across departments, and with vendors to ensure shipping, samples, product details, and web merchandise is up to date and accurate.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Accountability for product assortment, placing initial orders and reorders for a specific classification. Responsible for the timely markdown of product. Update category selling for analysis and use insight for future product selections and replenishment orders.
  • Work collaboratively with the online merchandise manager to merchandise website for specific classification
  • Track, analyze, and improve sales and margins to achieve business objectives
  • Review and proof copy for all new product to ensure information is complete and accurate for online
  • Assist in catalog planning and execution, review, and proof in detail catalog mockups for accuracy in layout, copy, photography, and color. Plan and paginate online assets such as emails, home pages, banners, and landing pages as well as social media.
  • Reporting: Manage monthly open-to-buy, recap limited-time sales, report productivity for catalog and online features, report monthly, quarterly, seasonal, and yearly results.
  • Communicate and follow up with merchandising assistants and vendors to confirm shipping of new products for specific classification.
  • Conduct competitor and consumer research to identify trends, consumer needs, and growth opportunities.
  • Communicate and follow up with merchandising assistants and vendors to confirm samples and all product details are provided for product creation
