Fabletics is looking for an

Associate Designer – Mens.

How Do You Fit In?

As the

Associate Designer

you will work alongside the Men’s Design team by participating in seasonal design activities, entering all new designs into PLM, updating & maintaining, archiving product development materials, and cataloging seasonal development documentation always with a functional and performance lens, paired with the Fabletics aesthetic.

In addition, thisAssociate Designerrole will come with specific focus on color as we will look to continue to expand our color palette in relation to the overall assortment. The ability to understand color and color depth and breadth will be key for this role. You will communicate internally with the product development team and externally with domestic and overseas vendors (as needed) while maintaining a clear follow up to all handoffs and communication. You will be a highly energetic self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset that understands our brand’s aesthetic and the Fabletics customer.

You will report to theSr. Design Directorand partner closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Production and Technical Design teams.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in the design process from inception through production handoff while tracking to calendar dates
  • Assist with the creation and management of Presentation Boards, Design Deck and maintaining of BOMs and Tech packs, including sketch, colorways, construction details, and specification sheets.
  • Maintain color, trim and materials library with seasonal development
  • Add all new development to PLM - including BOM creation and maintaining as style goes through fit process and adoption
  • Load all Color Cads into Centric and maintain for PD handoff
  • Maintain shared web folders of accessible image art, trim standards and cads
  • Ensure that all design, artwork, prints and fabrics for sourcing are sent in correct format with all correct prior to PP / Tech & Production handoff
  • Partner with PD / Tech - to track requested Proto samples, fit, Design specific samples, and wear test samples
  • Contribute to new style fittings, and take clear notes to update Design as needed and ref. for next fit samples
  • Take on ownership of individual projects while working on collaborative projects
  • Assist in reviewing all assortments to deliver consistent color, trend, and creative direction across targeted lifestyle to ensure we are meeting the Fabletics goals
  • Assist design leadership in seasonal concept and creation of commercially viable products
  • Assist design leadership with seasonal trend and color analysis
  • Review return goods with the sourcing teams identifying material or design flaws, and suggesting product improvements
  • Observing initial seasonal merchandising plan by delivery and reviewing with Design team to understand and support the needs of the business.

What You Can Bring

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in fast fashion design and or related field
  • Basic level of construction knowledge preferred, with ability to create techs packs
  • Prior experience with Web PLM / WebPDM / Centric PLM
  • A focus on color
  • Computer Skill: proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign is essential.
  • Must be extremely well organized, work well under pressure and be a strong problem solver
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience meeting multiple deadlines

  • General knowledge of merchandising and critical product construction.
  • Previous experience with Woven goods is a plus
