POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Designer supports the design team during all stages of the design process and across all men’s categories: bags, small leather goods, belts and soft accessories.  Their primary focus will be on bags, small leather goods and trims but will support with all categories as needed. The ideal candidate is highly creative, energetic, proactive and able to multi-task.  They must have strong organizational and communication skills and thrive in a collaborative fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Assist design team with concept, shape, material, and color research
  • Execute sketches and specs to communicate designs to factories
  • Design bags, small leather goods and trims under the direction of the Designer II
  • Support design and development of all men’s accessory categories
  • Keep files organized on the share drive
  • Keep sample and material closets organized in the office
  • Assist in keeping linesheets updated for all categories
  • Participate and take notes in departmental and cross-departmental meetings as appropriate
  • Assist in preparing showrooms for in-person meetings by cleaning spaces and building presentation boards
  • Assist in preparing virtual presentations by working on CADS and color ups and building digital boards in Miro
  • Communicate with product development teams in NY and Asia to ensure samples are executed properly and arrive on time
  • Own PLM input for slgs and assist with maintaining PLM for other categories
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging trends via retailing, web sites, trend services and editorials.
  • Support all designers as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:2-5 years of Accessories Design or related experience

Education:Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative attitude
  • Hand sketching ability
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Energetic and proactive
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Organized with excellent note-taking and follow-up
  • Eager to learn

ENVIRONMENT:Team-oriented creative environment. Ability to be flexible with hours and adapt to a process-driven deadline-focused calendar.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $90,000
PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
