The Associate Merchandiser- Retail will act as key support within the team focusing on a key business or category to deliver excellent execution of the Global Merchandising strategies and plans for the Retail Channel. This role will be a credible voice of Global Merchandising, supporting the creation of the merchandising vision for Crocs, the industry-leading casual footwear brand specializing in comfortable, fun, innovative and irreverent product lines crafted to surprise and delight our millions of loyal Crocs fans and future Crocs fans.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of tools and processes that drive brand cohesion and alignment to the merchandising plan
  • With direction from their leader, implement Channel and Category standard methodologies that are data driven and consumer focused
  • Act as the global champion for their channel/category enhancing their business with a focus on performance indicators and crafting impact with the consumer
  • Clear and regular communication with key global and regional cross-functional partners including Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Product Management, Design, and Development
  • Provide a clear point of view on individual SKU commerciality and supply to the finalization of all-channel assortment including colorways, suggested retail prices, market segmentation/distribution, and marketing style selection
  • Gain a current in-depth understanding of footwear landscape and identify and validate product needs, opportunities, and gaps
  • Assist with the alignment and execution of seasonal key stories in product assortment, product placement/zoning, and marketing
  • Maintain assortment planning tool, with defined channel segmentation guidance, style prioritization, climate and store size directives and product life cycle guidance
  • Supervise the business results, competitive landscape, and cultural/consumer trends for wins to leverage, misses to mitigate, and white space opportunities to exploit. Translate findings into strategic directions, plans, and tactics to ensure we consistently keep pace with consumers
  • Ensure all landmark deliverables, deadlines, and data are meeting expectations for timeliness and accuracy
  • Perform regular sell-in and sell-through analysis to advise Merchandising Financial Plan and Assortment Plan


  • College or University degree preferred but not required
  • 2-4 years of dynamic experience in merchandising, product creation and/or retail; footwear experience preferred
  • Consistent record of communicating and implementing merchandising strategies
  • Shown ability to handle an open to buy process, outstanding retail math skills
  • Validated ability to reliably work in a highly cross-functional matrix environment
  • Knowledge of international fashion/trends with the ability to translate into commercial concepts
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English required
