Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Product Attribution & Activation

    • Develop, own & execute seasonal product attribution guidelines to accurately place assortment in proper categories and soft filters
    • Ensure speed of product to site through consistent attribution and activation of all new products and ensure product is available for purchase in applicable categories
    • Communicate merchandise status updates using existing tools to all relevant cross functional partners
    • Partner with Online Merchandisers to learn the foundational aspects of online merchandising - including merchandising of categories and digital analytics
    • Partner with Online Merchandisers to set up and support promotional events that support customer experience

  • Analysis:

    • Analyze and investigate low product review ratings and determine accurate resolution to drive strong sales
    • Understand overall digital business & company-wide merchandise strategies
    • Collaborate with the online merchandisers to provide category-specific insights for the weekly recap
    • Examine merchandising strategies of key competitors & best in class on-line retailers to understand emerging trends
    • Ensure product accuracy by running daily exception reporting & analyzing opportunities

  • Operational Excellence:

    • Leader in testing new site enhancements for BCC, product information systems etc
    • Identify & optimize inefficiencies to streamline cross-functional end to end processes
    • Conduct weekly site audits to ensure product attribution accuracy & drive a best-in-class customer experience
    • Identify problem issues prohibiting customer transactions
Job title: Associate Online Merchandiser

General Summary:The Associate Online Merchant is responsible for product speed to site and product information accuracy. The AOM will ensure consistency of product attribution using customer facing lens as guidelines as well as ensure that SEO benefits are maximized. This role is the conduit between multiple teams within the organization to ensure the best end to end process is meeting DSW standards.

Reports to:Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising Operations

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of digital, marketing or merchandising operational experience.
  • Experience with the ATG platform, Experience Manager, or equivlant ecommerce platforms a plus
  • PC proficient in MS office suite - including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Omniture or Web analytics tools

Education:

  • BA/BS Required
