Private label swimwear brand is looking to bring on an Associate Technical Designer in NYC. This role requires in-office in midtown 4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and receive fit samples and prepare for fitting

• Take detailed noted for fittings and set up initial comments

• Schedule fittings with model and internal teams

• Assist in developing initial tech packs including sewing construction & detail

• Maintain daily communication with overseas partners, design, product development, and production

teams

• Aid in updating and maintaining accuracy in PLM system production packets

• Communicate pattern corrections, construction changes, and initiate new samples

• Enforce fit and construction standards across all styles

• Support team at-large on overarching projects as needed

Job Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Technical Design or Pattern Making

• At least 2-3 years of technical design experience in the apparel industry. Swimwear, intimates,

or activewear experience is preferred

• Technical knowledge of sewing machine and garment construction

• Must be proficient in Illustrator & Microsoft Suite, must be proficient in Excel

• Self-starter with continuous desire to learn and grow

• Displays agility / ability to multi-task & adapt to change

• Excellent communication, organizational skill, attention to detail and follow-up skills

• Must be legally eligible to work in U.S.A

• Knowledge of patternmaking/grading & nesting is preffered

• 3D Patternmaking is a Plus
