Buyer Senior, IPG
The primary purpose of this position is to align strategies with business partners; strategically sourcing and negotiating best in class terms and conditions and compliant contracts. The role reports directly to the Director of Indirect Procurement. Frequent independent judgments are essential. This roll meets frequently with category Vice Presidents to determine the strategy for RFIs, RFPs, renewals, cancellations and new projects. This position will work closely with the contract review team negotiating contract language with the suppliers while ensuring compliance in accordance with the contract review policy. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. Frequent independent judgments are essential. Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Review bid proposals and contracts working with the business partner leaders and the vendors to negotiate best in class and compliant contracts.

Meet with business area leads to review contract end dates and discuss strategy to send business out for bid, negotiate with incumbent to renew, etc.

Document contracted savings and spend to report savings and reductions to IPG and Budgeting.

Maintain template directory for Procurement and Contracting best practices as dictated by Rite Aid Contract Approvers.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position directly supervises Buyer, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

Education And/or ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Business required.
Procurement, sales or related field required.
