Job description

What will you be doing?

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for buying a product assortment of high value, strategic importance and complexity: Working at-pace to optimise and capitalise on market trends to create a competitively advantageous product range. To maximise the commercial outcomes for both our customers and your category. You will develop and buy a market leading branded range - managing the end-to-end product lifecycle from launch to exit.

You will influence, build and maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers, global brands, marketing, asset sales, store teams and central operations. Using your adept negotiation skills and experience to effectively manage supplier relationships, negotiate commercial terms, product exclusives and marketing funding.

As a Buyer, you will work with your Merchandiser to analyse commercial input from the external market and internal product data covering all channels. . You will develop a category assortment that is competitively priced and has a balanced portfolio of brands that is aligned with the company strategy.

You will maximise opportunities as they arise and lead the in-season trading activity to delight our customers and deliver commercial benefit.

What you'll have:

  • Extensive experience within branded buying
  • Experience managing strategic high revenue and and high focus areas
  • A proven ability to manage, influence and build stakeholder relationships
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience working cross functionally
  • Experience of working at pace in a complex environment
What else could you bring?

  • Buying experience within Branded Womenswear would be advantageous.
