THE BUYING TEAM

The Buying team at MATCHESFASHION are commercial tastemakers - passionate, motivated and resilient. A fast-paced environment, the team is made up of strong decision makers who work with the Merchandising team to curate the best product edit for the customer while simultaneously making the best commercial decisions for the business. Continuously responding to and absorbing market trends, customer needs and their lifestyles, as a team we work to set the product tone for the business. We are driven by exciting luxury products, working with a mix of established, new and emerging designers, and growing all brands at MATCHCESFASHION to ensure that they are a key part of our DNA.

ROLE:

We are looking for a talented Buying Assistants to join our team and will be responsible for effectively supporting the relevant Buying dept as an administrative support that supports the Company objectives and reflect the MATCHESFASION customer.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You have some experience at a similar level within the fashion industry, experience from work experience/degree preferably luxury within the womenswear industry.
  • You have a high proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • A motivated self-starter who thrives in an exciting fast-paced environment, takes responsibility and are comfortable working on your own initiative.
  • You draw on experience to pull together solutions that help drive business objectives forward, supporting the department tasks and making informed decisions.
  • You are focused on the best result being achieved for you and the rest of the team. You lead by example and nurture strong relationships with your immediate and wider team.
  • You will have a commercial mindset, with the ability to both recognise opportunities and risks, to support trade decisions.
  • You are organised and have a strong attention to detail. Alongside this you have strong analytical skills with the proven ability to problem solve and drive business insight from data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a valued team player.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Manage GBP RRP system upload process, adhering to set deadline, whilst remaining conscious of margin requirements
  • Vendor portal management process critical path - managing all correspondence within the vendor portal with supplier OC's through automated system for accuracy and responsible for creating and sending the PO in a timely manner
  • Along with MA's manage and clear post OC warehouse incidents, resolving any queries with the supplier
  • Support the relevant Buying teams in scheduling and organising all business dept appointments, preparing analysis for appointments and meetings (when permitted)
  • Obtain review and input supplier carry over during markdown period
  • Develop relationships cross - departmentally to resolve issues as quickly as possible and develop best practises. Liaising with different business functions, ensuring accuracies across coding, costs, currencies and terms
  • Support AB and team when required being part of proactively reviewing department performance and trading of stock, working closely with the Buyer and Merchandising team, generating ideas to maximise sales opportunity
  • If required on relevant Buying dept BA Concession role priority will be completing all SKU mapping on concession brands, all depts
