Who we are looking for

The Platform Engineering Delivery and Support team’s mission is to help enable the Platform Engineering teams to effectively empower their partners with pioneering technology. As a Delivery Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring reliable and predictable support for, and delivery of, the engineering platforms for Nike Technology. This is a highly visible and crucial role for the success of Nike’s platform strategy.

What you will be working on
  • Holistically drive the problem management lifecycle
  • Actively seeking collaboration opportunities with external teams to use tools, technologies, and takeaways for the improvement of the organization
  • Look for continuous improvement opportunities for both the Delivery and Support features within the Platform Readiness Objective. These include areas such as SLAs, L1/L2 support coverage, continuous delivery approaches, observability, and release and change management.
Who you will work with
  • Collaborate with the Program team to help drive the standards articulated in the Platform Readiness Objective and ensure proper readiness planning is done
  • Effectively collaborate across several key Global Technology organizations to ensure the platform standard aligns with those organizations’ initiatives and services
  • Effectively collaborate with Enterprise Platform’s technical leadership to ensure the delivery standard reflects the latest industry demands and is aligned with the technical direction of the organization
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Management, or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • At least 5 years of experience facilitating remediation and resolution of incidents and problems for complex engineering systems
  • A strong understanding of monitoring systems including industry standard tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic, and Splunk
  • A strong understanding of software delivery pipelines and CI/CD methods and standards
  • Extensive experience working with Change Management organizations and processes
  • Extensive experience working within Agile development environments
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment
  • At least 5 years leading and facilitating engineering meetings
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing standards around support procedures for engineering organizations
  • A strong understanding of various operational readiness standards for engineering platforms
