Role Summary/Purpose:

The Design Assistant position is an exciting opportunity for emerging design talent to learn and put design skills to use. You will collaborate with other designers as well as team members from other departments such as sales and merchandising. You will use and develop your aesthetic and technical design skills while working on a wide range of home textiles bed and bath products.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create and edit original art for customer accounts
  • Scan, edit, and create repeats, color match, and print for presentations
  • Assist with creating presentations using various studio materials
  • Assemble concept boards and presentations
  • Establish color standards and product tech packs
  • Review factory submissions against standards
  • Organize and maintain files
  • University degree in textiles, fashion, or other relevant degree is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in Textile CAD with a minimum of 1+ years of professional experience
  • Strong working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Ability to translate concepts and trends
  • Excellent color and design skills
