As a Design Assistant at Karen Millen you will show a relentless thirst for knowledge and awareness of what is new in fashion on the street, in the competition and in designer collections. You'll be prepared to communicate these exciting new trends during meetings and be a vital part of the design process.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Alongside Head of Design and design team, contribute to seasonal research, including key product trends, trim sourcing, print and surface treatments, and fabric development. Takes responsibility for department administration including stationary orders, maintaining and digitising mood boards, keeping the department neat and tidy, preparing for key design meetings, dressing mannequins and showroom for key meetings. Develops comprehension of the daily sales monitor to build a consistent awareness of department bestsellers. Is present in range building meetings to develop understanding of this process and supports the department lead to deliver on actions. Develops design skills by supporting on sketching and speccing as required by their line manager. WORKING WITH USTo succeed here, you have to love working at pace. It's relentless, but we love it. MORE ABOUT YOU Hand drawing, Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator experience are required. Is highly organised, keeping accurate records of developments actioned, filing and managing supplier submissions, going above and beyond in your completion tasks. As a Design Assistant you should be highly motivated, an active listener and a proactive thinker. Comfortable working at pace. Agility is something you pride yourself on. A team player.
