The Golden Touch Group is a family owned and operated wholesale apparel manufacturer with a mission to deliver trend focused products for nearly 50 years. We produce private label brands for large mass market retailers across the globe specializing in children’s, junior, missy and women’s apparel.

The Jaclyn Apparel division of Golden Touch is seeking a highly motivated team player with strong attention to detail to join our team as a Designer. We are seeking a highly creative and energetic individual whose main goal is to create and execute designs that represent the excellence of Jaclyn Apparel and our internal brands.

Responsibilities:

• Research emerging trends and styles to formulate strategies

for projected lines: Provide innovative designs and

concepts to strengthen and maintain a competitive edge.

• Work closely with the merchandising team to create seasonal

direction in silhouette, fabric and concept that is true to

the overall design direction.

• Use trend intelligence and an understanding of the current

and historical business to design and execute specific

classifications.

• Design key items to fit into the seasonal concept and color

palettes.

• Draw accurate flat sketches as well as detailed sketches for

technical packages.

• Attend fit meetings and communicate detailed comments on fit

and construction to technical team.

• Manage deadlines in accordance with market calendars.

Requirements

Degree in Fashion Design
3 to 5 years experience in apparel design, sleepwear is a bonus
Excellent fashion sense.
Experience working with pattern makers, draping fabric and directing sewers in our sample room.
Strong eye for color usage and pattern design
Understanding of the sleepwear, robe and loungewear customer is a plus. Candidates outside the sleepwear are welcome to apply
Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Illustrator and Microsoft Excel. PLM is a plus.

Salary Range - $65K - $80K *

*As a private company, Golden Touch may pay more or less than the published upper limit of the pay range based on an individual’s demonstrated experience and expertise in their field. The pay ranges serve as a target and allow us to consider relevant experience, time in the role, salaries of internal peers, business sector, prior performance, and geographic location.
