Converse Inc. Boston, MA. Create design and innovations that are trend relevant to the consumer & competitive marketplace. Develop original concepts, select appropriate color & materials, and modifications to ensure manufacturability. Elevate the consumer experience through superior product craft and push the limits of design. Design & execute all product details including: construction, color, form, style, detail, fit performance, graphic application, trim & hardware. Demonstrate process proficiency through best practices, ideation & communication of ideas, and digital tools. Ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price points/margins, merchandising needs and product creation timelines. Establish insight on products, product lines, product development process, and the specific markets related to business. Collaborate and present design concepts to various internal and external audiences along with more senior Designers. Produce presentation materials in conjunction with the Design and Category teams that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences.

Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design or a related field and completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis involving the following:

1.  Adobe Illustrator

2.  CADs

3.  Hand/digital sketching

4.  Color theory and use of texture

5.  Spacing and scale

6.  Visual presentation

7.  Concept ideation and selection of appropriate material

8.  Product design and development

9.  Coordination with internal/external teams

10.Collaboration on existing/future projects
