Unbox the Dress is a VC-backed direct-to-consumer sustainable fashion startup headquartered in Winston Salem, NC. We help clients transform their beloved wedding dresses and other sentimental garments into gifts and heirlooms to enjoy for years to come.

POSITION

We are seeking friendly Designer Sales Consultant to join our team! This isn’t your typical customer experience role: you’ll conduct phone and online design consultations with women across the country seeking to upcycle their own wedding dress into our many lovely products, helping them confirm their order and discuss the specifics of their customizable design requests. Ongoing customer communication continues as Customer Care shepherds women through out their wedding dress transformation process until their heirloom gifts and garments are returned to them.

Our client care team is the voice of the brand - in this role you'll be a Unbox the Dress brand ambassador across our phone, zoom, email and support channels.

Our team is comprised of positive, hardworking consultants who work together with our leadership and production teams to deliver amazing dress transformation that have been known to bring our clients to happy tears!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assigned phone consultations and Zoom calls with women who are planning their customized wedding dress redesign projects with Unbox the Dress.
  • Respond to customer questions with understanding about our customizable products, the dress redesign process and order fulfillment.
  • Communicate information about what specific product designs can best be made from the customer’s own unique wedding dress. (Training Provided!)
  • Communicate important information and client input to other departments, mainly production and shipping/receiving using our in-house scheduling system, Monday.com
  • Build trust and confidence with customers using empathy and listening skills to uphold our excellent customer service standards.
  • Incorporate suggestive-selling techniques to maximize what the client can make with their dress.
  • Assist with order fulfillment in the shipping and receiving department not limited to the following: inbound and outbound shipping, inventory reporting, collecting and moving items, record keeping, and packing finished and unpacking incoming wedding dresses.
  • Assist with physical movement of wedding dresses and garment bags onto the production floor.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and Time Management skills.
  • Computer and Data-Entry skills.
  • Attention to detail with specifics regarding customer requests, order processing, status and tracking of orders.
  • Ability to manage a volume of orders and customer requests in parallel.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Quick study – ability to learn 40 + product redesign specifications and quality expectations.
  • Accuracy and experience with setting and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathetic, patient listening skills.
  • Kind, positive and empathetic attitude.
  • Collaborative team player willing to help others as requested.

Experience:

  • Minimum two to three years in retail, styling, bridal, or customer service roles /background.
  • Minimum two years sales experience.
  • Post-secondary education (bachelor's degree preferred) or relevant work experience equivalent.
  • Experience working with the public and a multitude of clients, with wedding planning and bridal events as the most relevant.
  • High proficiency with technology, especially Google Suites and Outlook office. Monday, Shopify, and Gorgias experience are a plus, although training will be provided.
  • Part of an inside sales team that closes customer orders, no cold calling.
  • Not a remote position, but occasional work from home is an option.
