MRC Creations is an industry leader in designing and manufacturing intimate apparel for every shape and style. MRC Creations owns and operates several intimate apparel brands and most recently acquired the Frederick's of Hollywood license. We are seeking a Designer to join our design team. This position will report to the Design Manager.

Job OverviewThe Designer is responsible for creating designs exclusively for MRC Creations Brands that support merchant objectives and business growth. This position is responsible for owning a particular category or categories within a brand. They will work closely with the Design Director and Senior Designer in setting the brand/label's seasonal fashion and core direction.
Essential Functions:Work with the Director of Design and Senior Designer to set the brand seasonal fashion direction.Coordinate line with Director of Design to ensure cohesive aesthetic integrity within the brands.Own product design from concept through production (e.g. sketch, sample execution, bulk approvals).Interpret specific color palettes, patterns and prints for the season.Interpret seasonal fashion direction, assortment opportunities and merchandise trends for area of responsibility.Create and maintain all sketches and BOM updates in PLM.Assist the Design Team in development and execution of product designs to achieve overall product strategy and sales objectives.Assist the Buy Meeting coordination process, including visual set-up, props, lifestyle and design presentation.Partner closely with Production team to create seasonal palettes and support fabric optimization.Partner with Production team to ensure designs meet the cost guidelines for the style/category.Attend fit sessions with Tech Design and Product Development teams.Produce cohesive product presentations, including boards, tear sheets and samples to help sell concepts to buyers.Shop the retail market seeking new merchandise/trend ideas.Shop the trend market seeking design inspiration (materials, fashion, color, trade shows) as needed.Qualifications:
4-6 years of industry experienceBachelor's Degree in Design or Fine ArtsCAD experience/ proficiency (must)Wholesale experience (must)Private label experienceCommunication Skills:
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
