Assistant, Merchandiser, Work (Men's)

As part of the Merchandising team, the Merchandising Assistant Work- Men's, maintains product data accuracy and supports the Merchandising team to be more efficient in day-to-day duties. This includes planning, organizing and controlling product line from strategic planning through retail placement to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives. This role provides support to ensure timely execution of ongoing deliverables and reporting under the direction of the merchandising category teams. You will support ongoing product line management and successful execution of seasonal product line launches via Go-To-Market calendar development and process/timeline adherence.

As part of the Global Product team, you will be responsible for understanding team competencies and expertise needed to meet organizational goals and celebrate Dickies' brand vision through product creation.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Data Entry- Maintain detailed and accurate product line information in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system (NGC), ex: Item setup, Product Descriptions, Costing, Pricing, Size grids, Discontinuing Items
  • Merchandising- Assists in packaging trim codes & artwork requests, updating price matrices, competitive shopping, assisting with global packaging translations for Canada/MX set-ups, work as a 2nd "pair of eyes" for catalogs & pricelists during weeks with multiple deadlines and GTM meetings
  • Seasonal GTM Support- Assist Merchandisers with sales requests like CAD updates for account meetings, sending lists of carry-over lots, preparation and set up for pre-line and GTM milestone meetings, Assist with marketing requests such as samples for photo shoots - laydowns and models, product descriptions for catalogs and product journalist stories
  • Sample Organization- Organize, track, and archive samples on a seasonal basis for team use and for all milestone meetings, including maintaining the team's working display rooms, owning sample closet management and reordering carryover product, ensuring packaging is correct on all samples, labeling fits and pricing for competitive products, maintaining closet order by returning samples sent back from shows, account meetings, etc.

Skills for Success

Years of Related ProfessionalExperience:3+ years in Merchandising or similar role

Educational Position Requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate in fashion or apparel design are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
