Primary Purpose:
Lead the Coach Buying team to deliver strategic and operational execution of product investment for all categories / channels, driving in-season performance in line with financial targets for our Direct Business (stores and .com) across the region. This role will play a pivotal role in the implementation of brand, product and planning strategies. Reports to VP, Buying, Planning and Inventory Control, Tapestry
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Buying / Planning to:
Strategically position the brand and product initiatives in the EMEAI region - with Omni mindset to ensure product investments are made taking into consideration; consumer motivation and market trends, leading with consumer first and considering brand positioning across all channels - direct and wholesale
Drive Omni product investments which optimize consumer engagement in stores and online, drives channel growth and assortment profitability, partnering with relevant cross functional partners
Drive product assortments which focus on a consistent product message across all consumer touchpoints including Ecomm and Wholesale assortment proposals taking into consideration regional market needs and trading landscape in line with brand directives
Lead the product selection and SKU investment of the OTB to meet financial targets whilst - partnering with regional Inventory Lead to present relevant category shifts in response to trends and macro environment, taking into consideration short and long term regional growth strategies
Reviewing business risks and opportunities and proposing strategies to support financial targets in line with Brand priorities
Accountable for business trade: product performance, pricing to include updating Wholesale Sales Team, VM and marketing communications, proposing actions which reflect Global and Regional financial directives
Partner with Senior Director Finance, Tapestry to provide initiatives to support monthly SMI to deliver AOP in line with sales and margin targets and optimizing key metrics
Provide input into the annual budgeting and merchandise plan for the year/season with in season check ins to ensure plans are in line / reflects trend shifts and are updated and in line with AOP targets, in Partnership with Director Inventory and Allocation, Tapestry
Partner and influence with the Inventory and Allocation Director on OTB assignment, door profiles
Provide product briefs and feedback to the Global Merchandising team on future assortments and regional product opportunities
Determine relevant door profiling with quarterly regional review Store leads ahead of Buys, including optimal store content and network distribution to include Direct and Whls - aligning with global door profile where relevant
Collaborate cross - functionally with Retail, Finance, Marketing, Wholesale Sales Team and VM leads on door profiles and execution of product strategy
Continue to review and evolve efficient processes with a Tapestry lense and support with system training needs to ensure team can execute tasks effectively taking into consideration key priorities and deliverables
Owns pricing of product taking into consideration competitive set, value of product and partners with Pricing Manager to review price grids bi-annually and models impact to key metrics
Demonstrate people leadership through annual goal setting, quarterly development reviews, coaching, demonstrating people commitment through EI&D initiatives and ERG to support team engagement and to develop a high performing team and champions positive team culture
Be a key leader and point of reference for the Buying team across the organization
Build strong partnership to drive execution of strategy / optimize regional inventory turn with Tapestry IM Director

The accomplished individual will possess
Minimum 10+ years buying and planning experience to include either/ both - Full Price, Outlet, Ecomm channel focus with experience gained at a Fashion / Luxury goods brand. Handbag / footwear experience would be advantageous
Established and proven track record operating at Head of / Director level
Experience of the Wholesale market would be advantageous
Numerate with strong analytical skills and financial acumen, operates with clear command of the key financial drivers to potentialise the business
Advanced computer skills in Excel
Management supervisory experience is a must, ability to communicate cross functionally and at all levels and the ability to demonstrate adaptability
Strong leadership skills to engage team and lead by example to deliver brand / regional strategic priorities
Able to demonstrate a proven track record of successful people leadership
Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to manage, engage and collaborate with range of key stakeholders
Experience of working with a global company / brand, operating at pace
Experience of the European market, Global outlook
