The Men’s Streetwear Footwear Merchandise Director will be responsible for ensuring that the Brand’s construct vision and strategy are brought to life in the marketplace. They will serve as the Global marketplace expert and Geography merchandising liaison.

What you will work on

Iconic sneakers that shape sneaker culture and celebrate the legacy of Michael Jordan. This person will lead and drive team and merchandising excellence throughout the product creation and go-to-market process. Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Footwear Merchants under a unified One Team mentality. You will advance the Brand’s vision and strategy for the Men’s Streetwear Footwear line through the following;

  • Enable the end to end product creation process through effective collaboration and communication across teams.

  • Act as the Global Marketplace expert and Geo Merchandising liaison. You will be accountable for the Product Line Architecture by creating and driving the tops down and quantitative effort to determine the size and shape of the product line.

  • Develop product journeys that deliver against the brand architecture, marketplace and consumer insights.

  • Partner with Product Management to create and drive model franchise and classification strategies that achieve long-term growth by leveraging marketplace and Geography input.

  • Leverage and analyze retail and marketplace data to identify opportunities, provide business acumen into the product creation process and make informed decisions.

  • Craft and deliver impactful presentations at internal and external meetings on a regular cadence.

  • Deliver consistent, clear, agile, and timely written and verbal communication with Global teammates and Geography partners.

Who you will work with

As the Men’s Streetwear Footwear Merchandise Director, you will be leading a team of Footwear Product Merchants and will report to the Senior Director of Men’s Footwear Merchandising. In this role you will partner closely with Global colleagues in Brand Marketing, Planning, Finance, and Product Management in bringing optimal product assortments to market. You will collaborate with the Women’s and Kid’s team to ensure a cohesive Brand presence. This is a pivotal role in working closely with the four Geographies to bring together their end-ind-mind needs, while at the same time landing the Global vision.

What you bring

  • 8+ years of related field or equivalent combination of education and industry experience in Product and Merchandising.

  • Optimistic, dynamic, experienced leader with experience coaching, managing, and mentoring. Constantly looking for new ways to grow self and others.

  • Passion for Merchandising. Includes strong foundational skills in bringing a construct and vision to life in the marketplace.

  • Consumer centric. In-depth understanding of consumer buying habits, the marketplace, Streetwear culture, and the Jordan Brand.

  • Business insights and experience building efficient, integrated, profitable line plans.

  • Sneaker enthusiast with passion for AJ1 and Jordan Retro history.

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills. Accomplished presenter.

  • Ability to build, articulate, and share a strategic point of view
