Position Summary

District Merchandise Manager role is responsible for overseeing and support consistency in merchandising standards and execution throughout assigned territory. Responsible for evaluating and providing feedback to store leadership and reporting up to District and Regional Managers. This leadership role, models the PGA TOUR Superstore core values of cultivating our customers and developing our associates. The position utilizes strong business acumen and retail knowledge to formulate goals, develop objectives, and improve merchandising processes.

  • Responsible for 8-10 retail locations minimum.
  • Train and ensure implementation of company programs and merchandise standards.
  • Partner with store team on training of new supervisors.
  • Receiving Operation Supervisor

  • Follow company merchandising standards and directives.
  • Conduct regular in-market visits with store leadership according to established program guidelines to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with company policies, procedures, and plan-o-grams. (requires approximately 50% travel)
  • Regular in store visits with store management to ensure compliance with standards, markdowns, holiday sets, and receiving.
  • Weekly visits to stores within driving distance, quarterly to remote location. Travel schedule will be provided.
  • Communicate weekly with the Visual Merchandise Manager
  • Communicate regularly and conduct weekly reviews with Regional Managers/District Managers – highlighting performance areas of opportunity and needs of their assigned territories.
  • Communicate with merchants on communication issues (bulletins), inventory concerns, etc.
  • Respond to request for feedback, information or other merchandising needs within 24 hours or in a timely manner.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects across stores in territory. Lead and coordinate merchandise moves within region.
  • Manage set team during new store openings – collaborate with Visual Merchandise Manager and merchant team.
  • Must be proficient with receiving processes and systems.


  • Five (5) years of experience in retail merchandising, store management and/or equivalent golf/tennis industry experience (i.e. Head Golf/Tennis Professional)
  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a G.E.D. or high school diploma.


  • Communication: Strong listening and interpersonal skills. Candidates must possess good verbal and written communication skills and communicate cross-functionally.
  • Maintain flexible work hours (some weekends and some evenings required) as our business is retail driven.
  • Analytical: Candidates must have strong strategic skills, forecast business needs, and develop comprehensive solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales and improve operational processes.
  • Computer: Candidates must have strong computer skills utilizing the internet, email and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Organization: Candidates must be able to organize multiple priorities across multiple store locations, as well as properly ensure resources are allocated to meet objectives.

Physical Requirements:Regular travel required within respective territory. Travel by plane is a requirement.

Scheduling:Ability to accommodate a retail schedule (flexible, including nights, weekends, and holidays), and must be willing and able to travel for business including overnight travel.
