Clarks has an incredible 200-year history and we are focused on ensuring the next 200 years, Clarks for the world ahead. In order to do that, we are clear on our Premium Brand position and contemporary style seeker, target consumer.
With our priorities in mind we are setting ourselves up for success and in doing so having some awesome opportunities to join the team. Not only be a part of such an exciting time but be in the position to shape the future of one of the most iconic Brands on the UK high street!
The role
Supporting the Senior Merchandise Planning Manager, you'll develop and implement the bottom-up strategy for your very own channel. Forecasting and hind-sighting, setting productivity targets, designing the range framework and assortment planning-you'll drive trading activities to ensure your channel not only performs, but also delivers top-down financial targets.
Implementing your strategy will mean collaboration with partners throughout the organisation and you'll work closely with inventory managers, purchasing and commercial teams. The monthly forecasting review process you'll lead will keep them in the loop and recommend actions that will enable your channel to maintain optimum commercial performance.
You'll have license to develop smarter channel merchandising processes here at Clarks, driven by data insights and your own market knowledge. There's plenty of appetite for innovation at Clarks, so you'll be able to forge your own path to commercial success here. And at a global organisation like ours, that path can take you as far as you want to go.
About you
You'll have significant experience in merchandising and planning for a large category or business area and will be able to demonstrate how your forecasting, analytical and numerical skills enabled you to deliver commercial successes. You'll also have a thorough understanding of merchandising practices, trading models and the end-to-end value chain and be full of ideas on how they relate to current market trends.
We're evolving as an organisation right now, and we're looking for creative team members to drive the change. We're looking for an innovator who, through their passion for what they do and the way they communicate with colleagues at all levels, can secure the buy-in they need for their ideas to flourish. Do that and you won't just drive the future here, you'll shape it.
About Clarks
Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. Sparking revolutions and defining generations, Clarks' archive of over 22,000 pairs includes the inimitable Desert Boot and Wallabee - and a ground-breaking combination of invention and craftsmanship remains at the heart of what the brand does now. Cutting-edge collaborations with cultural icons and KOLs, taking strides in social change, reimagining legendary silhouettes, and making shoes that move with the world ahead - Clarks is never standing still.
