We are seeking an International Buyer who can bring the blend of experience in international merchandising and buying as well as strategy and forward-thinking philosophy to a progressive creative team environment. Experience in Fashion Buying is a must! Position will be remote, based in New York City.


1. Plan annual and quarter product developing plan under fully understanding company brand strategy.

· Collect and research market information, analyze fashion trend, color, fabrics, styling etc and report routinely to HQ

· Input latest fashion element to UR product development, manage the combination of different section, monitor the process and evaluate every part of the developing process, from styling, key sales point to pricing, packaging and assembling.

· Report company brand analysis routinely by assessing market demand, target customer, branding channel, producing, key competitors and visual merchandising

2. Fabric developing

· Lead seasonal fabric developing work according to product design and sales plan

· Research the latest fabric using trend by attending global exhibition, analyzing competitors and input into UR garment development

3. Product and design management

· Analyze customers preference, pricing and improve sales and product design by working closely with retail operation and VM team

· Organize meeting weekly in order to deeply understand and assess bestsellers and unsalable and make implement plan to avoid further loss

· Set up product implement system in order to react quickly to any emergency issues such as shortage of product or outburst of fashion element

· Work closely with marketing, branding and retail operation teams to improve store outlet, VM and participate in seasonal promotion events

4. People and financial management

· Set up and improve product planning process

· Coach subordinate buyers’ technical skills and improve their abilities

· Appraise team’s performance and build a comfortable working environment

· Build up talent development and succession plan within the team

· Manage team cost, making sure any work-related events are under budget


Candidate background

· Proven experience as an International Buyer for a well-known fashion retailer

· Enthusiasm in fashion, very sensitive in fashion trend and creative to lead a brand

· Experience at a Management level

· International background, preferably global

· Modern retail approach, ability to think omni channel

· Proven experience in working in a fast-paced clothing environment
