Fashion Design and Production Intern NYC

Y-Y is looking for fashion design and productions interns to help out our sustainable project "reborn "

Irreversible waste is created every day during the apparel production process. Therefore project "Reborn" is created to minimize excess fabric and play with existing resources alone. This project is based on research on “What is wasted? Why is it wasted? How to fix it?”. we collect wasted/unwanted fabric/vintage clothes from companies and factories and reuse them in this collection.

• Assisting with photoshoots
• hand sewing
• Styling
• design process
• Draping
• Doing research
• Reconstruct garments
• Experiment with fabric

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship

Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per month

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Queens, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Garment construction: 1 year (Preferred)
• Fashion design: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)
