JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a unique entry level position for a young fashion designer to shadow the creative director and put into practice their technical drawing skills in handbags and related accessories. Our design is highly technical, and it is solution-driven unlike other high-end fashion brands. The position requires the candidate to come to the NYC Chelsea office in person and the candidate will work on all aspects the creative director needs encompassing design and development. The hours are flexible and there is room for growth within the company depending on the candidate’s strengths and interests.

This is the perfect position for an aspiring designer to learn more about the design process and intricacies of fashion handbags and accessories. It’s a great opportunity to broaden your skillsets and a launchpad for furthering your career within fashion.

What you'll do:

Assist the Creative Director in the following areas:

  • Modifying handbag techpacks and bills of materials.
  • Assist in the development process of new products.

REQUIREMENTS

What will qualify you:

  • Can take constructive feedback

Required Hard Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator
  • Very comfortable using Excel and google sheets
  • Internship level experience required and work experience is a plus.
  • College degree required; major in fashion design is not a must, put a plus.
