We are a manufacturer and B2C retailer of boutique children's wear. The ideal candidate for the Fashion Designer position is a punctual individual who loves to be creative and is eager to continue developing their talents. This position will report to our Design Manager.

Responsibilities:

Owns designs from concept to consumer for all product needs.
Researches emerging trends and styles and key influencer markets to strengthen brand image and maintain competitive positioning against key brand consumer targets.
Collaborate with design team on designs while understanding the vision of the brand.
Source fabrics & trims and relay these items in an organized manner to purchasing.
Develop & update the technical specifications to complete the design spec sheets.
Review and critique fit and design of prototypes. Discuss and strategize style changes and line enhancements with Brand Manager. Share findings with the manufacturing team.
Review and inspect Brand Rep samples after the prototype stage.
Monitor brand rep Facebook group for fit issues.
Prioritize workload based on timelines.

Education/Experience:

Degree in Fashion Design or a related field
Thorough knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, sewing techniques, graphics and trim
Advanced computer knowledge including Adobe Suite, Microsoft Excel and Dropbox

Proficient in Macintosh computer platform

Skills for Success:

Strong sense of design, style & color
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is required.

Must have strong organizational skills to be able to balance multiple projects and timelines with the ability to prioritize.
Ability to develop and execute creative ideas independently and as a team.
Must be flexible and adapt well to fast paced, rapidly changing work environment.
Must be a team player, open to taking direction, and be able to work well under pressure.
Self starter

*Pay based on experience.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
