TheProduct Designer rolewas created for an innovative, self-started who has a hustle mentality and thrives in creative environments. This person has a passion for fashion and also understands how to create for our target demographic. Below are a few additional qualifications and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product creation process from concept to reality under some input from Project Manager.
  • Ideate, create or lead implementation of Public Immunity's Imprint products (our customization offerings).
  • Participate in creative development meetings and offer input for products.
  • Take lead on creative development of product design, and take given direction to create designs that follow brand identity, are on trend, and are appropriate to collection themes.
  • Prepare vision boards for all new design developments, including tech packs where necessary.
  • Be hands-on in design process, selecting new fabrics, textiles, accessories, etc.
  • Apply the best business practices and knowledge to improve product design.
  • Serve as liaison between product design, production and any additional vendors.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and be able to take constructive critiques when it comes to material, embellishment, and overall product story/vision.
  • Oversee and ensure production team/vendors (if applicable) are hitting all milestones and deadlines when it comes to a heavy product launch calendar.
  • Build key partnerships with outside creation teams and establish trust through product expertise and product-centric mentality.
  • Be able to make deadlines or communicate effectively on any delays that arise that affect key milestones and deliverables.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of sewing/product design experience working with streetwear, lifestyle, and/or luxury brands that have a more streetwear aesthetic (highly preferred but we're open)
  • MUST have a strong knowledge and personal interest of various fashion aesthetics as well as a passion for streetwear trends and style.
  • MUST be a self starter who knows how to manage and prioritize multiple projects at a time.
  • MUST provide realistic timelines for production of products and meet deadlines created.
  • This position and team will grow into a director level position so a minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in leading a small design, creative, or product team is preferred. (ability to eventually mentor/coach, provide constructive critique, lead strategy, etc.)
  • Candidates in Colorado preferred but if out of state, must have flexible schedule that allows for travel to Denver and/or Chicago frequently.
