Britto Central Inc. is currently seeking a Fashion Merchandiser to join their team of professionals.

As a Fashion Merchandiser, you will have the exciting opportunity to represent the Happy Art Movement created by Mr. Britto, an internationally renowned artist. The Happy Art Movement is built upon a visual language of love, hope, and happiness, inspiring millions of people worldwide. In this role, you will curate and manage fashion products, forecast trends, negotiate with suppliers, and optimize merchandise presentation. This role requires style sense, analytical thinking, and effective communication in the fashion industry.

Duties Include:

  • Conduct research to predict upcoming fashion trends.
  • Direct and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers to secure products.
  • Collaborate with design, planning, and sales teams to align merchandise strategies.
  • Purchase fashion items that resonate with the target market.
  • Manage retail outlets, overseeing inventory, staffing, and customer experience.
  • Design and create visually appealing store displays.
  • Coordinate and direct fashion photo shoots for promotional materials.
  • Identify and define the store's target clientele.
  • Determine garment pricing based on quality and affordability.
  • Strategically source products to meet budget constraints.
  • Develop advertising and marketing strategies to promote merchandise effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum associate degree in fine art or a closely related field.
  • Fashion design experience of at least 2 years
  • Proficient in analyzing past fashion trends and staying updated with current industry developments to make accurate merchandise predictions.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess budgetary constraints and the functional needs of consumers when selecting merchandise.
  • Excellent communication skills for negotiating with manufacturers, conveying marketing messages to customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in the fashion industry.
  • Ability to fluently speak, read and write English.
  • The participant is required to use close vision, color vision, depth perception, and must have the ability to adjust focus and have a keen eye for composition daily.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Portfolio and work samples required.
  • Basic MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) experience.
  • Proficient experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator required.
  • Basic knowledge of InDesign
  • Organized and attentive to detail.
  • Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.)
  • Thinking creatively and developing new design concepts, graphics, and layouts.
  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas.
  • Professionalism regarding time, costs, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work on PC platform.
  • Basic knowledge of illustration
  • Knowledge of e-commerce product photography is a plus.

Preferred a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 per year
