The Fashion Office Assistant is responsible for supporting the Fashion Office Manager in providing trend direction, coordinating product strategies across departments, and working with cross functional teams to communicate the priorities of the seasonal buy. Serves as a liaison between external Trend Services and the Fashion Office Manager and works directly with brand partners to coordinate details of product exclusives.

What You’ll Do:


  • Develop a seasonal color story direction based on trend forecasts in the luxury and contemporary market for Intermix stores
  • Create trend decks of key trends/items for buyers to look for in market that are aligned with the Intermix pov
  • Source new and relevant brands that fit criteria from Buying team, or support our discovery POV
  • Provide color/aesthetic direction for specific exclusive product capsules (ie Bridal, Holiday capsule, Takeaway, etc)
  • Support Fashion Office Manager in leading seasonal style out meetings highlighting where there is opportunity, redundancies, or voids in the buy
  • Works in constant contact with the Chief Merchant to ensure the key strategies of the buy are coming through in both our stores and website.
  • Manages Fashion Office calendar (style outs, buy deadlines, cross functional hand offs) and ensure that all deliverables are met.


  • Create seasonal buy visual decks summarizing color stories, trends, and big ideas by channel
  • Attends market appointments where relevant
  • Works closely with marketing team to provide direction on key trends, brands, items to feature in our marketing. Assists in sample tracking when Buying intervention is needed.
  • Pulls selling recaps on exclusive capsule performance
  • Comp Shops at relevant competitors and based on findings, pulls together reports to be distributed to Buyers
  • Works with WGSN and attend all relevant information sessions trend meetings. Responsible for taking notes and putting together recaps for buying teams.

Who You Are:

  • Impeccable taste level in the luxury and contemporary market; fashion obsessed with a strong gut instinct on trend, emerging brands, and influencers.
  • Strong understanding of retail fundamentals; able to utilize internal systems to pull selling reports and analyze business reports
  • Extremely organized. Ability to pull together information from multiple sources for presentations
  • Takes initiative/able to work independently in a very fast paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships with both the most senior and junior members of cross functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong presentation skills & Organizational skills. Confident and polished when presenting.
  • Ability to build relationships with the market and fashion services
  • One-two years fashion office or equivalent experience
  • Must be proficient in using Excel and PowerPoint and able to create on-brand visual decks
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 27th, 2021 or approved for an exemption as a reasonable accommodation under state and/or federal law. “Fully vaccinated” means that you are beyond 2 weeks or more after receipt of the second dose in a 2-dose series (ex., Pfizer, Moderna, etc.), or 2 weeks or more after receipt of one dose of a single-dose vaccine (ex., Johnson & Johnson).
