Job Description

H Julien Designs is seeking a part time floral assistant/designer to perform the following tasks:

  • Assist with floral processing/design and daily workings of the studio
  • Provide exemplary customer service to clients and in-store patrons
  • Become knowledgeable about flowers, plants, and the floral industry to effectively communicate with prospective clients and partner florists
  • Process payments and take orders over the phone or in person
  • Make deliveries and transport product (gas mileage reimbursement included)
  • Assist with weekly maintenance and watering schedules for recurring client accounts

Job Requirements

H Julien designs is seeking someone who is friendly, hard-working, and curious, with a willingness to learn and a desire to do high-end quality work under direction. The ideal candidate will also meet the following criteria:

  • At least one year of some basic floral design is required. (In order to be considered for the position, applicants are requested to supply detailed information about any relevant floral experience within the body of their cover letter or resume.)
  • At least one year of retail and/or customer service experience
  • Current driver’s license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle
  • Available to work Saturdays and holidays
  • Able to perform physical labor such as lifting, carrying and prolonged standing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook
  • Background in art/design/floral design preferred.

This position is part time to start with the potential of becoming full-time and many opportunities to pick up hours around busy times and holidays.
